The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is the national professional, scientific, and credentialing association who are audiologists; speech-language pathologists; speech, language, and hearing scientists; audiology and speech-language pathology support personnel; and students. Shannon has been an ASHA member since 2011.

Social Thinking's mission is to help people develop their social competencies to better connect with others and live happier, more meaningful lives. This bay area based organization creates unique treatment frameworks and strategies to help individuals as young as four and across the lifespan develop their social thinking and social skills to meet their personal social goals. Shannon works part-time at the Social Thinking Stevens Creek clinic in San Jose.

The Hanen Centre is a Canadian charitable organization whose mission is to enable parents and professionals to transform their daily interactions with young children to build the best possible lifelong social, language and literacy skills. Shannon is a Hanen-certified SLP trained to provide parent support for the More than Words, Talkability, and It Takes Two to Talk programs.

Apraxia Kids is the leading nonprofit that strengthens the support systems in the lives of children with apraxia of speech by educating professionals and families; facilitating community engagement and outreach; and investing in the future through advocacy and research.

ASAN SELF ADVOCACY NETWORK
The Autistic Self Advocacy Network seeks to advance the principles of the disability rights movement with regard to autism. ASAN believes that the goal of autism advocacy should be a world in which autistic people enjoy equal access, rights, and opportunities. ASAN works to empower autistic people across the world to take control of our own lives and the future of our common community, and seek to organize the autistic community to ensure their voices are heard in the national conversation about them.

The Stuttering Foundation of America is a nonprofit charitable organization working toward the prevention and improved treatment of stuttering.

The Autism Center of Northern California (ACNC) is a non-profit organization that provides support to families of children to adults with ASD. They provide parent training, diagnostic assessment and consultation services for a range of developmental and social challenges. Shannon was formerly a communication coach for ACNC's Jumpstart Learning to Learn program, training caregivers in special skills that support the development of a child with an ASD.

Support for Families of Children with Disabilities offers free information, education, and parent-to-parent support to families of children with any kind of disability or special healthcare need and to the professionals who work with them in San Francisco.

Golden Gate Regional Center provides services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities in Marin, San Francisco and San Mateo counties. Shannon is a GGRC provider.
